New in Thermopal's fire protection programme: MDF Composite type F for furniture and projects

Thermopal has added a new HPL composite board to its extensive fire protection range: MDF Composite type F consists of a flame-retarding laminate and fire-retardant MDF core material, and is classified to Euro class B-s2,d0. This means the homogeneous material is ideal for use wherever the requirements for burning behaviour and edge quality are higher than usual.

Profiling and painting made easy

“MDF Composite type F is also suitable for carrying out unusual concepts. The homogeneous material is fabulous for processing; the narrow surfaces can be profiled and painted,” confirms Thermopal’s product manager Christina Müller-Witzemann. “This makes our new composite board ideal for furniture and elements in shop and trade fair construction, but also in offices and special constructions.” Furthermore, the hard-wearing HPL surface has been approved for use with foods, and is also highly dirt resistant and easy to look after.

Finishing with the DST system by Thermopal

And when it comes to sheer variety, it is most definitely on a par with other Thermopal products. “The DST system also applies to MDF Composite type F, offering the maximum choice of designs and structures – just the things our customers appreciate about Thermopal,” Ms. Müller-Witzemann adds. The composite board is available in the highly favourable formats 2750 x 2020 mm and material thicknesses 17.6 mm and 20.6 mm as standard – on request with the PEFS seal guaranteeing the material is sourced from sustainable forests.
