Profile 1 / R03 (PUR)

High quality composite with unique surface quietness. Made from a wood particle board type P2, glued with high gloss HPL type P 0.6 mm. Reverse side in texture 47. The front and rear edge are profiled with radius 3 mm.

High gloss postforming elements with 3 mm radius. A new gluing technique makes it possible. The high gloss surfaces on these Thermopal postforming elements now have an even better quality. The PUR technology ensures that the chipboard cannot cause surface instability especially with high gloss surfaces. The result is a stable, smooth surface in which you can see your own reflection.

Cleaning and care

  • The surface can be cleaned with water and gentle cleaning agents. To remove stubborn stains, please observe the recommendations in the data sheet "Cleaning of HPL surfaces".

Product safety

  • The surface is physiologically safe, and approved for direct contact with food.
  • The material is not rated as hazardous material.
  • This product is following the REACH regulation EG 1907/2006 an article. Following Article 7 it needs not to be registered.

Sustainability

  • Thermopal wood chipboard is a environmentally friendly wood material. We use approx. 65% wood offcuts from industry, obtained in the processing of round timber, plus industrial wood from forests in the region.
  • We are supporting sustainable forestry in line with international standards. Ecological, economical and social criteria are all taken equally into account.
  • We support the preservation of wood as a natural resource in the sense of a recycling economy by using approx. 35% of our source material from scrap wood of category A I and A II in accordance with the regulations of the scrap wood ordnance. By recycling these materials, we are also making an important contribution towards binding carbon and reducing hazardous carbon dioxide concentrations in the atmosphere.

  • Also available single postformed only.
  • Other thicknesses on request.
  • Available designs on request.
  • Slight colour differences to HPL without overlay and to melamine faced boards are possible on wood and stone reproductions, as well as on fantasy designs.
  • It is recommended to order overlay for horizontal, heavy used surfaces in combination with metallic designs. Slight visual difference to the surface is possible without the overlay.
  • No guarantee of stability can be given for uneven constructions.

Processing

  • Can be worked with carbide tipped tools on conventional woodworking machines.

Edging

  • Thick and thin edges are suitable.
  • EVA and PUR hotmelts are recommended for edge adhesion.

Fitting technology

  • All conventional removable and non-removable fittings for solid wood and wood materials are suitable.

Installation and assembly

  • Sufficient conditioning is required prior to installation and assembly. The premises themselves need to be air-conditioned according to future use.
  • Please ensure that the material is processed and fitted correctly and using the best available technology.

Storage and handling

  • On all level surfaces (e.g. pallets), in dry, vented rooms.

Disposal

  • We recommend material recycling or energy recovery.
