Decor-Blockboard

Decorative faced blockboard with high bending strength, both sides melamine faced with a single or double paper construction.
Core layer made of urea glue bonded blockboard (IF 20 according to DIN 68705), faced with a thin particle board.

Field of application

  • Wherever high demands are made on the board material, especially with regard to bending strength. In shop fitting, drugstore and ship construction, in the furniture industry especially for cabinets, shelves and showcases etc.

Cleaning and care

  • The surface can be cleaned with water and gentle cleaning agents. To remove stubborn stains, please observe the recommendations in the data sheet "Cleaning of HPL surfaces".

Product safety

  • The material is not rated as hazardous material.
  • The surface is physiologically safe, and approved for direct contact with food.
  • The decorative coating consists of printed or dyed décor papers. They are saturated in the duroplast melamine-formaldehyde resin, which then hardens during the laminating process to form a highly resistant, non-reactive material.
  • We manufacture the panels without the use of halogens, heavy metals, preservatives, wood protectors or organic solvents.
  • This product is following the REACH regulation EG 1907/2006 an article. Following Article 7 it needs not to be registered.

Special

  • The colour may differ slightly from HPL with overlay.
  • Specially with light designs, slight colour variations are possible between single and double paper construction as well compared to high pressure laminates and compact grade laminates. Please let us know if a combination of those material should be required.
  • If printed designs are required for horizontal applications it is recommended that an overlay is ordered. The colour may differ slightly from HPL without overlay and melamine faced board.
  • Minor levels of porosity are due to the type of core and are no cause for concern.

Processing

  • Can be worked with carbide tipped tools on conventional woodworking machines.

Edging

  • Thick and thin edges are suitable.
  • EVA and PUR hotmelts are recommended for edge adhesion.

Fitting technology

  • All conventional removable and non-removable fittings for solid wood and wood materials are suitable.

Installation and assembly

  • Sufficient conditioning is required prior to installation and assembly. The premises themselves need to be air-conditioned according to future use.
  • Please ensure that the material is processed and fitted correctly and using the best available technology.

Storage and handling

  • On all level surfaces (e.g. pallets), in dry, vented rooms.

Disposal

  • We recommend material recycling or energy recovery.
