Formaldehyde emission class

  • E1 (EN 717-1)

Chemical resistance

  • Resistant against liquids used in househoulds not containing any solvents.

Cleaning and care

  • Any type of stains must be removed immediately. Slight soiling shall be removed with a moist cloth and a neutral/intensive cleaner. Always use only soft cleaning cloths even on stubborn dirt. The surface must be cleaned with a clean cleaning cloth afterwards. Do not use solvents or harsh cleaning agents!

Product safety

  • The decorative surface is a laquered aluminium foil. The material core consist of paper layers which are impregnated with a duroplastic resin. The resins harden completely during the manufacturing process by heat and high pressure. They form a stable, resistant and non-reactive material.
  • We manufacture the panels without the use of halogens, heavy metals, preservatives, wood protectors or organic solvents.
  • This product is following the REACH regulation EG 1907/2006 an article. Following Article 7 it needs not to be registered.
  • The material is not rated as hazardous material.

Special

  • Texture 77 (Parallel) is only available on Alu 4.
  • The metal foil has got a longitudinal joint at 1,350 mm (two sheets)
  • Usable length min. 2,730 mm.
  • The aluminium foil used for the decorative surface is a real metal. This can cause, compared to classical decorative papers, certain optical surface effects and higher differences in the colour connection.
  • Please consider that metal surfaces react more sensitive to scratch, impact and abrasion purposes than melamine surfaces. Also the chemical resistance is comparatively lower.
  • Cut to size is not available.

Processing

  • Can be worked with carbide tipped tools on conventional woodworking machines.
  • Processing with protective foil is recommended. Dirt inclusions as well as heavy or sharp objects can leave pressure marks on the surface.
  • Face side face up on machining table, flashes can be removed using a fine file or sandpaper. Avoid flashes by using a pulling cut, and mill at a low speed, preferably synchronised.
  • For the production of composite elements we recommend a symmetric construction. This means both sides identical HPL. If backing material (also HPL) is used, there is a risk of shape distortion (bowing). Tests will be necessary.

Machines and tools

  • We recommend the use of fixed equipment.

Installation and assembly

  • Sufficient conditioning is required prior to installation and assembly. The premises themselves need to be air-conditioned according to future use.

Storage

  • On all level surfaces (e.g. pallets), in dry, vented rooms.

Disposal

  • Energy recovery is recommended.
