Core material

  • Non-combustible compact core
  • Compact core with excellent strength properties, consisting primarily of mineral components.

Density

  • 1,900 kg/m³ ± 50 kg/m³ (ISO 1183)

Marine Classification

  • Low Flame-Spread Surface Material (MED)
  • Low Flame-Spread Surface Material (US Coast Guard)
  • Low Flame Spread Surface Linings (Transport Canada)

Formaldehyde emission class

  • E1 (EN 717-1)

Chemical resistance

  • Resistant to organic solvents, weak acids, petrol and oil.

Cleaning and care

  • The surface can be cleaned with water and gentle cleaning agents. To remove stubborn stains, please observe the recommendations in the data sheet "Cleaning of HPL surfaces".

Product safety

  • The surface is physiologically safe, and approved for direct contact with food.
  • The decorative coating consists of printed or dyed décor papers. They are saturated in the duroplast melamine-formaldehyde resin, which then hardens during the laminating process to form a highly resistant, non-reactive material.
  • We manufacture the panels without the use of halogens, heavy metals, preservatives, wood protectors or organic solvents.
  • This product is following the REACH regulation EG 1907/2006 an article. Following Article 7 it needs not to be registered.

Machines and tools

  • Machining can be done on all common machining equipment and processing centres.
  • Diamond tipped tools are suitable for machining and processing.

Edging

  • It is generally recommended to seal the edges.
  • PUR hotmelts are recommended for edge adhesion.

Fitting technology

  • All conventional removable and non-removable fittings for wood materials, compact laminates and mineral boards are suitable.

Installation and assembly

  • Sufficient conditioning is required prior to installation. The premises themselves need to be air-conditioned according to the future use. Once installed a good rear ventilation as well as well a balanced climate must be ensured.
  • The fixing of the boards to the underground always needs to be done mechanical with non-combustible fixing material.
  • Ensure that there is an adequate area of “play” for the panel after installation; drill holes should be over-sized by a minimum of 0.5 mm.
  • Please ensure that the material is processed and fitted correctly and using the best available technology.

Health and safety

  • Provide adequate extraction when splitting/grinding.
  • Provide adequate ventilation and fresh air supply.
  • Prevent dust from settling, or remove regularly.
  • Suck (vacuum) dust when cleaning; do not blow.
  • Work clothes should cover the body entirely (trunk, legs and arms) whilst processing these panels.
  • Use the usual products for skin protection (creams etc.).
  • We advise operators to wear a face mask (P2).

Storage and handling

  • On all level surfaces (e.g. pallets), in dry, vented rooms.
  • Protect from moisture and wet conditions.

Disposal

  • When machining large quantities, we advice using a separate saw dust extraction. Offcuts and large amounts of saw dust are to be collect and disposed of separately.
  • Waste code for disposal: 030199
