Processing

  • Please ensure that the material is processed and fitted correctly and using the best available technology. The material typical technical properties of the mineralic vermiculite boards have to be considered specially.
  • Avoid notch stress. Corners of interior recesses to be rounded.
  • Edges have to be sealed against moisture.
  • Remove any material particles and dust that occur during processing in order to prevent damage to the HPL surface.

Machines and tools

  • Machining can be done on all common machining equipment and processing centres.
  • Carbide tipped tools are suitable for machining and processing.

Edging

  • It is generally recommended to seal the edges.
  • Thick and thin edges are suitable.
  • PUR hotmelts are recommended for edge adhesion.
  • The application of the adhesive can be done in the same or opposite direct of the core board movement.
  • The pressure rollers should not be adjusted too tightly.

Fitting technology

  • Commercial products for furniture construction can be used together with PUR surface of fitting adhesives, as well as chipboards screws with full thread, such as SPAX-S or special EURO screws. Screw holes must be done oversize in the laminate.
  • The screw pull-out resistance is linked directly to the attachment technology.

Installation and assembly

  • Please remove the transportation packaging.
  • Sufficient conditioning is required prior to installation. The premises themselves need to be air-conditioned according to the future use. Once installed a good rear ventilation as well as well a balanced climate must be ensured.
  • Ensure that there is an adequate area of “play” for the panel after installation; drill holes should be over-sized by a minimum of 0.5 mm.
  • Please avoid direct heat in the form of light or heat radiation.
  • The material is only to be used in indoor areas where a relative humidity between 35% and 75% is guaranteed.

Storage and handling

  • On all level surfaces (e.g. pallets), in dry, vented rooms.
  • Protect from moisture and wet conditions.

Disposal

  • When machining large quantities, we advice using a separate saw dust extraction. Offcuts and large amounts of saw dust are to be collect and disposed of separately.
  • We recommend material recycling or energetic recycling in a waste incineration plant.
