Decor-Paper Honeycomb

Decorative non-locking light weight construction board with a SWAP paper honeycomb core, both sides faced with a 3,2mm HDF deck and mealmine faced in a two paper construction.

Field of application

• Decorative and general furniture construction, furniture and interior designs in ship, vehicle and caravan construction. Trade fair and shop construction e.g. for displays, partitions and mobile elements. The material is not suitable for use as worktops.

Decorative non-locking light weight construction board with a SWAP paper honeycomb core, both sides faced with a 3,2mm HDF deck and mealmine faced in a two paper construction.

Core material

• Paper honeycomb board with HDF top
• Barless paper honeycomb board (SWAP), sealed with an HDF deck on both sides.

Density (depending on thickness)

• 230 kg/m³ — 440 kg/m³

Weight per square (depending on thickness)

• env. 8 kg/m² / env. 11 kg/m²

Chemical resistance

• Resistant to organic solvents, weak acids, petrol and oil.

Product safety

• This product is following the REACH regulation EG 1907/2006 an article. Following Article 7 it needs not to be registered.

Special

• The colour may differ slightly from HPL with overlay.
• Specially with light designs, slight colour variations are possible between single and double paper construction as well compared to high pressure laminates and compact grade laminates. Please let us know if a combination of those material should be required.

Processing

Machines and tools

• Machining can be done on all common machining equipment and processing centres.
• Carbide tipped tools are suitable for machining and processing.

Edging

• The use of thick edges is recommended.
• Thin edges are only suitable if support edges are used at the same time.
• EVA and PUR hotmelts are recommended for edge adhesion.
• The adhesive should be applied in the opposite direction of the core board movement.

Fitting technology

• Direct fixations screws with special threads and all the usual products used in furniture construction are suitable, as well
• as surface or fittings attachment using PUR adhesive systems.

Installation and assembly

• Sufficient conditioning is required prior to installation. The premises themselves need to be air-conditioned according to future use.
