Compact HPL type F, brown core

High pressure compact laminate in flame retardant quality and in classification CGF acc. to EN 438-4.
With brown core of several impregnated cellulose layers and melamine impregnated decorative surface on both sides.

Field of application

  • Preventive fire protection in the interior fitting and exhibition stand construction, for wet areas as well as everywhere where a strong material is needed, for example for wall protection. But also for furnitures and installations, specially when a small material cross cut must be achieved.

Core material

  • Fire-retardant compact laminate (brown)
  • Highly impact and moisture-resistant brown phenolic solid laminate. Fire-retardant to EN 13501-1.

  • 1,500 kg/m³ ± 10 % (ISO 1183)

  • Resistant to organic solvents, weak acids, petrol and oil. (EN 438-2)

Cleaning and care

  • The surface can be cleaned with water and gentle cleaning agents. To remove stubborn stains, please observe the recommendations in the data sheet "Cleaning of HPL surfaces".

Product safety

  • The surface is physiologically safe, and approved for direct contact with food.
  • The decorative surface and the core consists of paper layers that are impregnated with thermosetting resins. The resins harden completely during the manufacturing process by heat and high pressure. They form a stable, resistant and non-reactive material.
  • We manufacture the panels without the use of halogens, heavy metals, preservatives, wood protectors or organic solvents.
  • This product is following the REACH regulation EG 1907/2006 an article. Following Article 7 it needs not to be registered.
  • The material is not rated as hazardous material.

Special

  • Other textures on request.
  • Slight colour differences to HPL without overlay and to melamine faced boards are possible on wood and stone reproductions, as well as on fantasy designs.
  • Specially with light designs slight colour variations to melamine face boards in double paper construction are possible. Please contact us if a combination of both materials is required.

Machines and tools

  • Can be worked with carbide tipped tools on conventional woodworking machines.

Fitting technology

  • All conventional removable and non-removable fittings for solid wood and wood materials are suitable.

Installation and assembly

  • Sufficient conditioning is required prior to installation. The premises themselves need to be air-conditioned according to the future use. Once installed a good rear ventilation as well as well a balanced climate must be ensured.
  • Please ensure that the material is processed and fitted correctly and using the best available technology.

Storage and handling

  • On all level surfaces (e.g. pallets), in dry, vented rooms.

Disposal

  • Energy recovery is recommended.
