Thermopal design “Oxygen Wood” inspires the imagination

Leutkirch - April 2011

This design loves to make a big entrance: rounded counters, perhaps in a shop interior, restaurants or hotel foyers will really catch the eye in “Oxygen Wood”. And large living and bedroom furniture can also handle the design which, from a distance, could also be taken for a peeled veneer.

Above all, “Oxygen Wood” owes its mysterious exoticism to its colourfulness. The variation “brown” combines a warm brown with cool, dark shadows. Interspersed with fresh grey tones, “grey” develops a friendly play of shapes. And the colouring “black” combines brown with anthracite, creating a metallic effect depending on the light and structure.

With its expansive, rounded shapes, “Oxygen Wood” immediately draws the observer’s attention to itself.

In any case, the environment should be as subtle as possible to allow “Oxygen Wood” to be seen at its best. Which works particularly well in combination with classic shades such as cream, magnolia and vanilla, as well as with metal or metallic. “However, the perfect partner for ‘Oxygen Wood’ is without doubt the design U562 Mint-Metallic,” explains Maren Wilbrandt, head of design management at Thermopal. “This glassy, plain metallic colour is an absolute ‘must’ for Oxygen Wood black.”
